Advanced Diabetes Supply has never been in a stronger position for growth, company officials say, and with new CEO Bill Mixon at the helm, they’re confident about its future.
Advanced Diabetes Supply has appointed Bill Mixon, who previously led National Seating & Mobility, as its CEO. The announcement follows the transition of the company’s co-founders and co-CEOs, Mark Howard and Tim Cady, to strategic advisory roles as members of the board of directors.
US MED’s direct-to-consumer model, including TV advertising will complement ADS’s more traditional model of working with physicians and diabetes educators, says Cady.

Advanced Diabetes Supply, a provider of diabetes supplies and continuous glucose monitors, has acquired US Medical Supply. The deal, which was not disclosed, will help Advanced Diabetes expand its reach in the eastern United States. US Medical Supply, which was founded in 1996, contracts with more than 500 insurance plans covering nearly 200 million lives. The acquisition is the latest in a series of consolidations in the diabetes market, as companies look to grow their businesses and compete with larger rivals.

ADS takes the hassle out of CGM billing for retail pharmacies

Advanced Diabetes Supply (ADS) has partnered with Price Chopper/Market 32 to offer its line of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to the pharmacy’s Medicare Part B patients. ADS will handle all of the documentation requirements for CGM billing, which can be a burden for retail pharmacies. This partnership will allow Price Chopper/Market 32 to continue to offer CGMs to its Medicare patients without having to take on the additional work of billing.
